Cousins Foundation - Bhutan

An informal group under the name 'Cousins Foundation Bhutan’ is a group of cousins sharing a common goal of enhancing learning opportunities for our younger cousins. Using the village temple as a mini-library we established a reading club - The Cousins Reading Club. The club is expected to provide a platform for children to enhance reading & writing skills under guidance from tutors at the club & also through online interaction with schoolgoing children and teachers around the globe. Through such informal & formal interaction, we are also hopeful that community vitality will be enhanced. We are from Tekarshong, a small village in Bumthang (Bhutan) located 2 km uphill of Bathpalathang domestic airport. It is a close-knit community of around 20 households. The page is managed by Kuenzang, a PhD candidate & researcher in Australia.
